Fitter trade under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) is one of the most popular courses running all over India through ITIs. The course is essentially composed of core trade skills, Workshop Calculation and Science, Engineering Drawing, and Employability Skills.
After passing out, the trainee is awarded a National Trade Certificate (NTC) by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT), which holds immense worldwide recognition.
During the 2 years, a candidate navigates from simple basic fitting with a tolerance level of ±0.5mm, advancing to precision ±0.02mm tolerances by the end of the course. Total three group projects must be completed. Graduates are fully equipped to work in pipe fitting, lathe machines, drilling, welding, general fitting, snap gauge preparation, and meticulous testing of machine accuracy.
